Heather Victoria Design is a teeny business… two friends, Heather and Sarah, living in South East London.
Heather (that’s me!)
I am one of those people that can’t answer “where are you from?”. A bit of a nomad, I have lived all over the USA and world.
I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and spent over 10 years in textile design before moving to London. I may have been born in America but now I live and breathe London. I am so happy to have found my adopted forever home. So much so that I cannot stop painting my local area.
I have two little ones - Stella age seven and Tristan age three. I am a mom first and business owner second, however I won’t post much kiddo stuff here in this space.
Random facts about me:
I am super tall. (yes, probably taller than you).
My drink of choice is tequila, fresh lime juice and soda water (+ a splash of pineapple when I’m feeling extra)
I don’t stop. My kids are early risers (thanks, kids) and I usually work into the wee hours.
I am the first one on the dance floor - and I will make you join me.
I am single. Yep, just make an orderly queue right there, thanks.
Equal rights are cool. Whoever you are, I love that journey for you. You be you.
That being said, I am unapologetically ginger.
I am a water baby and am happiest in close proximity to salt, water and sunshine.
I am self taught… when I want something I figure out how to make it happen.
Sarah
Sarah was my first friend when I moved to the U.K. years ago. She is a triple threat - clever, kind and beautiful. I create it and Sarah gets it out there.
With a background in corporate partnerships and development, Sarah is always coming up with new ideas, markets, partnerships… all while reminding me to update my inventory (sorry, girl!). I couldn’t do it without her.
Long story short, she is one of the kindest, most optimistic people I have ever met. One of those people that makes you happy just being around her.
She also has two little ones and makes it all look so easy. It’s a bit sickening. Honestly, Sarah, please make a mistake every once in a while so the rest of us mere mortals feel a bit better. xx
